On May 27th, San Luis Valley Federal Bank will open its lobbies with limited hours in an ongoing response to Colorado’s executive orders.
- Each branch lobby will be open Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- West Alamosa Branch (3415 Mariposa) in-lobby teller line will remain closed. Drive up will remain open.
- Normal drive-up hours at each branch. Hours available on website.
- Face mask are encouraged to enter a branch. Social distancing must be maintained.
- A limited number of members will be allowed in the building at one time.
- Restrooms will not be available to the public.
Safety of members and SLVFB Staff:
SLVFB will continue to watch for recommendations from the healthcare community regarding the safety and health of bank members and staff. Additional cleaning precautions will be followed at each lobby. Sneeze guards have been installed, and member service staff will be wearing masks.

Three new digital services are coming soon:
SLVFB is proactively working towards making banking easier. Three new digital services will be available later this year.
- Open deposits accounts online with SLVFB
- Review and sign bank documents online through your computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Add your SLVFB debit card to your mobile phone to allow for Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

In response to the growing need for assistance to small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 virus, San Luis Valley Federal Bank is utilizing the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to assist its business members. Please be aware this program is under heavy demand, and there is limited funding from SBA for the program. SLVFB will answer any questions and fulfill any requests as soon as possible. Each request will be handled in the order it is received. We value our Members and seek to provide the best possible service. Your patience during this difficult time is appreciated.

As an essential service provider, SLV Federal Bank’s drive-up and telephones remain open with normal business hours. Hours for each branch location are available here. You may access your accounts 24/7 via our online and mobile channels. We continue to follow recommendations from the healthcare community for the safety and health of our staff so they may continue to serve you. We are offering special loans for either individuals or businesses that are members of the bank and that have been adversely impacted by the coronavirus crisis. Special loan programs for those who have been affected by the coronavirus issue
Unsecured personal loans up to $2,500 for a maximum term of 24 months. First 6 months of loan will have an initial interest rate of 0% and no monthly payment. For the remaining 18 months of the loan, the interest rate will be 6.19% Annual Percentage Rate (APR).* No loan processing fees will be charged.
Example: $2,500 @ 6.19% APR = 18 payments of $145.79

The bank has had its lobbies closed since Tuesday, March 17 but we have continued to serve our members through our drive-ups, by telephone and online. Our staff is onsite to answer your calls and continue to serve your financial needs. If you need access to your safety deposit box, or have a special issue that requires a face to face meeting with our staff, please call us to make an appointment. We appreciate your patience and hope you are all in good health and spirits as we work through this challenge.

SLVFB is still accepting new deposit accounts over the phone, additional steps may be required. New loan applications may also be taken over the phone and online(Mortgage or Personal). If you have a loan scheduled to close soon, your loan officer will be in touch to set up the appointment.
If you need access to your safe deposit box, please call (719-589-6653 for all branches) ahead and we’ll let you in.

San Luis Valley Federal Bank is proactively working to reduce risk from the COVID-19, or Coronavirus.
Our focus in serving our community during this stressful time is the well-being of our staff and our members, and the continued delivery of banking services to our members.
With this in mind, we have decided to temporarily close our lobbies at each location effective Tuesday, March 17 at 7:30 AM, but we will remain OPEN through our drive-ups with normal business hours per each branch location. Our ATMs are also available at each location.
We have taken this action to reduce the risk to our staff and members of contracting the virus. We are following protocols of the CDC on cleanliness and disinfecting work areas to ensure our staff is available to serve our members.
